USB Issue – Open Pdf File

Having issues opening a pdf file on the Paper Pantry USB?

Are you using Adobe Acrobat Reader?

Does it show this message?

“Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open “(‘FILE NAME’ because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn’t correctly decoded).”

Look something like this?

Don’t worry. There is nothing wrong with your USB and it is very easy to fix!

  • Go to USB folder (usually on “This PC” )
  • Go to “AutoPlay” folder
  • Go to “Docs” folder
  • Right click on any pdf file > go to Open with > choose different program to open the file (You can choose any web browser program i.e. Chrome, Microsoft Edge etc.)

Or select “Choose another app”

  • Select your preferred pdf reader program > tick “Always use this app to open .pdf files” > OK

You should be able to open your pdf file now!
